Whilst it’s probably redundant to write about, I felt it warranted a short paragraph just to commend the incredible outcome. I’m referring, of course, to Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross wining the Oscar for Best Original Score. Even though we haven’t been strangers to this collaboration before – Atticus Ross working closely with Nine Inch Nails – it’s certainly the first time it’s been casted in the limelight. The soundtrack itself was brilliant: Trent Reznor’s touch, while subdued for the film, was clearly apparent; especially on tracks like ‘A Familiar Taste’. Subsequently, listening to the soundtrack has prompted my listening to Nine Inch Nails over the past couple of days. So I’ve provided a link to the soundtrack along with a video to ‘A Familiar Taste’; give it a listen, and we hope you enjoy it.
