We try to write candidly and without pretence about music we want to share. Most of the music will be eclectic but every now and then there may be something that you wouldn't usually listen to. We are not dedicated to a single genre and actively try to write about a variety of sounds. However we are particularly partial to rock of the following denominations: psych, post, shoegaze, ambient, electronic, indie, dream-pop and folk. We hate dub-step so there'll be none of that nonsense thank-you very much.
Since its inception three years ago, Skies Are Rare has been lucky enough to enlist the writing talents of the following individuals.
