Fabio Scalabroni is a minimalist techno musician from Rome. His new EP '
Asymmetric' is due for release on the 28th of this month on the French label
ZeECc. We usually try to promote "eclectic" music but I could perfectly understand how some listeners may find Scalabroni perhaps a bit, well, boring. Unfortunately I'd have to disagree and suggest the slight nuances that creep through each of the tracks are beautiful. A perfect blend of minimal techno, ambient and dub; this record would be a great choice for those who want to delve in to the world of minimalism. It's always risky mentioning
Pantha du Prince in the same breath as the world 'minimalism' because he certainly isn't a purveyor of minimal music. Having said that, if you're a fan of PdP, you may well enjoy the understated 'subtlety', shall we say, of Fabio Scalabroni.
