Three years ago - to the exact minute - we started a music blog entitled 'Skies Are Rare'. Its fruition stemmed from boredom and creativity; the love of writing and the love of music; youthful enthusiasm and naïve egos. Since then we've arbitrarily posted about various bands we praise, albums we love and gigs we've attended. We spluttered along for a while, limping in and out of inactivity akin to many amateur blogs. Whilst the enthusiasm may have waned from time to time, the motivations remain unmitigated. We recently realise that nothing has changed. We are still bored albeit slightly less youthful and, I hasten to add, egotistical.
The web is awash with a dirge of opinionated blogs written by kids appealing for public acclaim. This blog doesn't try to be one of them. Writing a music blog is actually a great way to motivate oneself to explore new music. Hence we write for ourselves and our own discovery of artists. If you want to join us and hold the pen for a while, just let us know. Otherwise, read on (then bookmark us; follow us; like us; and tell a friend).
It is with great joy (and a new lick of paint) that we can officially defibrillate this monstrosity back in to existence.
