General Elektriks

I was playing (read as: beating) my flatmate at Fifa the other day, when I suddenly became distracted by the quite fantastic music on the stereo and subsequently threw away a two goal home advantage. General Elektriks is the French musician responsible for my shameful defeat, but I have since forgiven him. Now based in San Francisco, General Elektriks - AKA RV Salters - makes eclectic down-tempo songs with a mixture of vintage synths, break-beat hip hop drums and hummable pop tunes. During that first fateful listen, I was reminded in some ways of RJD2 and in others of Flight of the Conchords but I knew I'd be listening to this guy again.
